The RS suspension gets a sportier sound and a lighting animation plays when the key is engaged. The LT and Z71 offer a panoramic sunroof with a power sunshade, while the RS comes standard with this feature.

Greater Power and Ability
Underneath the 2025 Traverse’s chassis, it’s been equipped with a new turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine replacing the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V-6. The inline-four engine produces 315 horsepower, five more than the V-6, and 317 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 51 pound-feet. The new eight-speed automatic transmission replaces the previous nine-speed transmission, and the Traverse is available with front- or all-wheel drive. It’s not so strange that we’re talking about the next 2025 Chevy Traverse, which suggests the new version should be at least a few years away since a facelift is already coming for the COVID-delayed 2022 model.

2025 Traverse Exterior
The 2025 Chevy Traverse is spacious inside – big outside – at more than 17 feet long, about the same size as most minivans. So it would be nice to get a version with rear parking sensors.
The lower trim has 18-inch alloy wheels, replaced by the 20-inch version from the RS and up, although buyers of the new Traverse can opt for the larger rims. Roof rails are optional on the base LS and standard elsewhere.
