2025 Chevy Chevelle: New Modern Chevy Chevelle SS Cars Review

Posted on

2025 Chevy Chevelle looks highly anticipated today. Previously the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 stood out in the era of the original muscle car, it was the king of classic muscles in the late 1970s. Florida-based Trans Am Worldwide now offers a modern look at the classics and doesn’t skimp on power. Even up to 1,500 horsepower (1,119 kilowatts) is available.

The launch entered the phase last week with the 70/SS being a re-polished Chevrolet Camaro. The only remaining exterior component of the Camaro is the windshield; Trans Am Worldwide swaps everything and that includes a cool cowl induction hood reminiscent of the original SS 454.

The style on the Fenders and doors has a straighter line to better represent the old Chevelle, and there is even a dot on the nose similar to the original car.

General Motors renewed its trademark on the Chevelle signboard in 2013, suggesting a reboot of Chevrolet’s classic muscle car was being considered.

Since then, several historical model names have been resurrected including hummer and blazer, but you still can’t buy a new Chevelle. Until now.

Not from Chevrolet, but from Trans Am Worldwide, the Tallahassee-based company that became famous for turning the Chevrolet Camaro into a modern version of the 1970s Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, giving people a chance to repair “Smoky and the Bandit” without having to drive a 40-year-old car.

The $100,000+ customs became so popular that Discovery even made a television series about the company.

Trans Am Worldwide has also built a GTO-style car but is now directing its attention to the 1970 Chevelle SS with its latest offering of the 70/SS.

The car began its life as a Camaro convertible, which Trans Am Worldwide owner T od Warmack told Fox News Autos it was built for an easier platform to update the body, which is significantly more different from Camaro rather than Trans Ams company.

2025 Chevy Chevelle Report

This is a new muscle car that celebrates a very powerful old car. US company Trans Am Worldwide has revealed the first image of its latest car paying homage to one of the most famous of all muscle cars, the Chevelle Super Sport.

Welcome, to the modern version of that monster V8. TAW calls the redesigned pony car the 70/SS; one that has been “seven years in the making”, available with 450bhp of the entry-level 6.2-liter LT-1 V8, the annoying 900bhp and 1,500bhp options Bugatti Chiron from the ‘LS6/X 454’ version.

The number of Yee is quite a lot, and probably a considerable amount of haw. Only 25 versions of the car will be made, so like the car, you need to be fast. All get a choice of manual or automatic gearbox, and all of course, rear-wheel drive.

Assuming you’re onboard with the appearance. There are no specific specifications about the “modern platform” this 70/SS uses, but the Bandit Edition Trans Am that TG drove some time ago uses the foundation of the Camaro. To that end, TAW has rearranged the SS box line into the hulk you see above.

“Legacy colors” will be available, while “modern three-stage custom colors” are offered for customers who want something more “vibrant”. Each car starts at $150k, although get a happy trigger with your own preferences and that price will go up.

“Our engineers and engineers have invested thousands of hours to reimagine this automotive icon on a modern platform,” said TAW boss Tod Warmack. “And we did it in a way that paid as much tribute as possible to one of the most popular models of the muscle car era.”

What does this mean for the Trans Am cars TAW makes? “It’s time for a complete redesign, so Trans Am is on leave until we reintroduce the new design. We are now focusing all our efforts and resources on the 70/SS,” Warmack added.

Specific details on the engine are not available, but the company says that the range-topper is an LS6/X 454 with two turbochargers that produces “1,500 rear-wheel horsepower that can be on the road”. Only these 25 monsters will be created.

2025 Chevy Chevelle Design

Chevy Chevelle nameplates were produced between the 1964 and 1977 model years, with three generations coming and going at that time.

Finding success at NASCAR and as a hotrod for fans, unfortunately Chevelle is no longer part of the Chevrolet lineup but what if it is? What might it look like? Now, GM Design answers that question with the following rendering.

Coming to us from the official Instagram feed of GM Design (@generalmotorsdesign), this modernized Chevy Chevelle concept was created by Brian Malczewski, Lead Exterior Designer at General Motors, in 2014.

The look is definitely aggressive, but it’s also a bit futuristic, with a touch of elegance for it as well.

The front bears a striking resemblance to the new Chevy Blazer crossover , with a large lower intake section divided by a thin top bar that holds the Chevrolet Bow Tie logo at the front and center .

The separator blades direct the eye to the corners of the fascia, with ultra-thin lighting elements drawn into the corners, framed by yellow corner lights. Further lighting bits are found in the lower corners of the bumpers, which are outlined by a black environment.

The profile view shows a large wheel, which fills the wheel hole with an even fit. The side styling lines are created with a soft curved flow, as opposed to the hard angle styling feature. There are also no doorknobs, while the layout appears to incorporate cabin-rear proportions emphasizing the Chevy Chevelle’s sportyness.

The shoulder line gives the rake design leaning forward (visually), while the window line is a continuation of the styling elements that begin in front of the windshield. The roofline is also very low.

Of course, the release of this concept image does not confirm the upcoming debut of the new Chevy Chevelle. Nevertheless, the design is quite attractive, and although its very stylish features are not completely “production-friendly”, they provide a great framework for models The future Chevrolet.
