2024 Chevy Equinox EV will expand its EV lineup in the fall of 2023 to include the Equinox EV, an affordable, functional compact SUV that will start with an estimated MSRP of around $30,0001 in the US. The Equinox EV, which will be launched with both fleet and retail versions, including LT and RS trims, will leverage GM’s Ultium Platform.

“The Equinox has always played an important role for Chevrolet as the second highest selling brand nameplate,” said Steve Hill, vice president of Chevrolet. “Providing affordable EV options in the industry’s highest volume segment proves Chevy will make EVs available to everyone.”

The announcement of the Equinox EV comes after Chevy revealed the Silverado EV 2024 and confirmed the Blazer EV SUV, which will be available in spring 2023.

Electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular, Chevrolet is contributing more to the EV segment with its latest truck: the Equinox EV.

The Equinox EV is an all-new electric truck that will join the Chevrolet lineup in the fall of 2023 as the 2024 model. The announcement of the Equinox EV comes after the reveal of the Chevrolet Silverado EV for the 2024 model year and the confirmation of the Blazer EV SUV, to arrive on the scene in the spring of 2023.

With the addition of the Equinox EV, the brand now has more affordable EV options to choose from. In addition, the Equinox EV’s affordable pricing options make this electric vehicle accessible to everyone, inaugurating a new era of electric vehicles that we can’t wait to see.

2024 Chevy Equinox EV Review: A Charming Electric Crossover

Gosh, the new Chevrolet Equinox EV does something its competitors can’t. The Chevy Equinox EV 2024 is an attractive and powerful SUV that’s actually affordable. This is one of the best looking electric SUVs that doesn’t break the bank.

2024 Chevy Equinox EV

In January 2022, Chevrolet officially announced the electric versions of the Blazer and Equinox. With the announcement came renderings of both vehicles and the promise of more to come. The Blazer EV has just made its debut, and it’s possible the Equinox EV isn’t far behind.

Browsing through the Chevrolet website, we see something different in the upcoming vehicle section. We were treated to a small but clear side view of the Equinox EV, and as far as we can tell, it’s just been added. We suspect it’s connected to the Blazer EV’s debut, but either way, it offers a side view we’ve never seen before. Looking around a bit, we managed to find a high-resolution version of the image hidden in plain sight. That’s what you see displayed at the top of the article.

Its bright blue tones with a white roof are quite different from the silver, gray and black rivers we are used to seeing in the automotive world today. Indeed, earlier renderings of the Equinox EV depicted a silver SUV. We’ve also seen renderings of the Equinox RS in red with a black roof, so seeing a third in such a vibrant color suggests that Chevrolet will be offering the Equinox in a variety of flavours.

This new image offers a great look at the Equinox EV style in profile. Additionally, displaying them side-by-side on the Chevy website (albeit small) also highlights the differences between the two vehicles. Both use GM’s Ultium platform, but the Equinox with its flattened doorknobs looks poised to take on the Tesla Model Y. In GM’s electric vehicle hierarchy, this could be an option for younger buyers looking for a more tech-focused experience.

That’s something we won’t know for sure until the Equinox EV’s debut. However, we do know that Chevrolet plans to keep its starting price under $30,000. It’s going to be a lot less than the Blazer EV, which starts at $44,995 in 1LT trim, but here’s the thing. Buyers of both electric SUVs will have to wait until the first quarter of 2024 before the base model goes on sale. Higher-spec (and more expensive) models will arrive in late 2023.

Today, the Chevrolet Equinox is a rather forgettable compact SUV. But it won’t be long—Chevrolet is launching an EV version with a sleek new design. Ambitious pricing shows that Chevrolet is serious about this small electric SUV, as it will start at around $30,000. The Equinox EV will use GM’s new Ultium platform for electric vehicles, and will have to offer a range of up to 300 miles to compete with today’s modern electric SUVs.

The gas-powered Equinox lineup is still in the new look phase, so to speak, after getting a facelift for the 2022 model year. It brings a new grille, updated headlights, and a more defined rear design. It’s clear that it will maintain that look for a few more years. With that in mind, Chevrolet still has more tricks up its sleeve and manages to give the EV version a bolder and more dominant design.

At first glance, the Equinox EV looks like something you’d see in a futuristic Sci-Fi movie. The EV seems very different from its current gas-powered sibling. Its extraordinary design features narrow headlamps and a sleek hood. On the front fascia, the Equinox EV really lowers the grille and takes on a more closed front end. To add life to the truck’s design, Chevrolet added a dramatic wheel design and elegant lines that extend across the body.

The Equinox EV looks like a completely different vehicle from the current gas-powered Equinox, and that’s a good thing. In addition to the grille-free front fascia and narrow headlights, it boasts chiseled body lines and dramatic wheel designs. The interior also seems to be a big step up, with the screen covering most of the dashboard. In the preview photo, Chevrolet shows off one Equinox EV 2024 with a racy black and red interior theme, and another with an eye-catching gray, black and blue theme.

2024 Chevy Equinox EV News

The compact electric SUV is featured in a metallic blue body color with a white roof and mirror cap, a combination we’ve already seen in the March 2022 teaser video. So far, Chevrolet has shown renderings of the Equinox EV LT in silver and the sporty Equinox EV RS in red with a black roof. This new color combination means that customers will have a lot of youthful exterior design options to choose from.

Seen next to the Chevrolet Blazer EV, the side profile of the Equinox EV looks similar, although the smaller model has a thick C-pillar instead of the third side window like a midsize SUV.

The Equinox EV will share the EV-only Ultium Platform with the Blazer EV, but GM hasn’t revealed any specs yet. However, one image from the first batch of teasers released in January shows a driving distance of over 300 miles (483 kilometers) as it shows the instrument cluster showing a distance of about 235 miles (378 kilometers) with about 75% charge state.

GM has also announced an initial MSRP of around $30,000 for the Equinox EV and describes it as an “affordable, functional compact SUV.” Since the midsize Blazer EV will start at around $45,000, the Equinox EV has huge sales potential as the main offering in the automaker’s EV lineup.

General Motors CEO Mary Barra said during the company’s Q1 2022 earnings call that the compact electric SUV will launch in early fall 2022 before going on sale in fall 2023. The Equinox EV will initially be available in RS trim, with the entry-level LT. classes arrive later, likely in 2024; The LT and RS will be the only trim levels offered.

New Chevy Equinox EV Ultium GM Platform

It should also be noted that the Equinox EV is supported by the Ultium GM platform. It’s the same platform that formed the basis of the upcoming GMC Hummer EV, Cadillac Lyriq, and Chevy Silverado EV truck.

Obviously, having these EVs on the same platform means they’ll be mostly similar in shape. But, on the manufacturing side, the shared base allows General Motors to quickly set up its electric vehicle lineup without getting entangled in serious development costs for each model. This is how GM was able to conceptualize (and will soon produce) multiple EVs simultaneously. So it all makes sense.

The platform opens up the possibility of a higher range, say 400 miles, which may depend on configuration. But buyers should expect the Equinox EV to offer a more honest and unyielding range to accompany its high value intentions and appeal.

Chevy Equinox 2024 EV Interior

Carrying Chevy Heritage, With a Touch of the Future, the interior of the Chevrolet Equinox EV has a simple design, with a large infotainment screen in the middle. The Chevy Equinox EV seems to borrow its interior from the regular LT trim as it lacks the red accents of the equinox 2024 Equinox RS.

2024 Chevy Equinox EV

Chevrolet only gave us a few details about the EV’s interior equinox, but from the photos, we can see a digital dashboard similar to that of the recently revealed Silverado EV. It features a stylish theme and color stitching that mirrors the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV Crossover. The rest of the cabin looks like the 2022 equinox.

We also checked out the digital instrument cluster featuring an odometer in the center and a multimedia display on the right. One thing we also noted was the 48,211 mile odometer reading, which may or may not be some sort of code since the EV equinox is a computer-generated vehicle. The instrument cluster also shows about 235 miles of about 3/4 payload, meaning that the total range is probably well over 300 miles.

The camera then focuses on the passenger side of the dashboard and the surrounding lighting panel is echoed by the smaller one on the door card. The short video is then enlarged to offer an expansive dashboard view dominated by a large central touchscreen with two flat air vents underneath.

We also see a digital instrument cluster featuring a speedometer in the center and a multimedia display on the right. The odometer at the bottom reads 48,211 miles, which may or may not be some sort of code since the Equinox EV in the video is not a real vehicle but a simulation.

The interior in the video appears to belong to the regular LT, as it lacks the red accents of the sporty Equinox EV RS 2024. Speaking of these trim levels, the fine print at the beginning of the video reaffirms that the RS will be available in the fall of 2023, while the availability of the LT will be announced at a later date — likely to launch in 2024.

Chevrolet hasn’t shared any further details about the powertrain, battery design, acceleration. , speed, and more. We will update you with more information once all those details are revealed.

New Premium Features Equinox EV

Ice, the Chevy Equinox EV 2024 changes the game with a sleek, confident look. The revised narrow headlights, the removal of the grille, the sleek hood, sharp edges and new wheel designs are eye-catching.

According to CarScoops, a model with a two-tone paint color was spotted online. It pairs a white roof and blue body for a unique look. A rear spoiler on the roof and a black rear bumper complete the aggressive styling.

The interior features a flat-bottom steering wheel, a large digital gauge cluster and a large infotainment screen. The gear selector looks smooth, and the upholstery features a contrasting color.

We’ll have to wait a little longer to learn more about the Equinox EV, but so far it seems too good to be true. It should display power and style at an affordable price compared to the top rivals.
